Vietnam e-Visa Portal Moved: Use evisa.gov.vn (Not the Old Domain)

## What changed Since November 2024, the official Vietnam e-Visa portal has operated on the new domain **evisa.gov.vn** (English) / **thithucdientu.gov.vn** (Vietnamese). The official notice is posted on the legacy domain `evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn` itself, which is why many older guides, forum posts and browser bookmarks still point to the old address. Nothing about the application itself changed: the fee remains **USD 25 for single entry**, the processing time is still around 3 working days, and applicants are advised to apply at least 3–5 working days before departure. ## Why this matters - **Old links go stale.** If you open an old-domain link, you may land on a legacy page instead of the live application system. - **Scam sites copy old designs.** Agency sites charging USD 60–200 imitate the old portal's look and rank well for the old domain name. The only domains that matter end in `.gov.vn`. - **Bookmarks die quietly.** If you saved the portal during a previous trip, delete the old bookmark and save the new one. ## How to apply safely in 2026 1. Type **evisa.gov.vn** directly into the address bar — don't click search ads. 2. Check the URL bar shows the padlock and a `.gov.vn` domain before entering passport details or paying. 3. Pay only the official fee (USD 25 single entry). Anything much higher means you are on a reseller site. 4.
