Brazil e-Visa

Enter a valid email address that you check regularly. This will be used for all communication, including your application reference number and approval notification. Use the same email for the entire application process.

Create a strong password with at least 8 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Confirm it by entering it again. Store it securely, as you will need it to check your application status.

Enter your full name exactly as it appears on your passport, including any middle names. Use the same spelling and order. Do not use nicknames or abbreviations. If your name has special characters (e.g., accents), include them as shown.

Select your date of birth in the format DD/MM/YYYY. Use the date from your passport. Double-check the day and month, as errors are common. Ensure you are at least 18 years old to apply independently; minors have different requirements.

Select your nationality from the dropdown list. This should match the passport you will use for travel. Note that only citizens of eligible countries (e.g., USA, Canada, Australia, Japan) can apply for the e-Visa. If your nationality is not listed, you may need a different visa type.

Enter the passport number exactly as printed on your passport. It is typically alphanumeric (e.g., A1234567). Be careful with characters like 'O' (letter) and '0' (zero), and 'I' (letter) and '1' (one). Do not include spaces or hyphens.

Enter the expiry date of your passport in DD/MM/YYYY format. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended date of entry into Brazil. If your passport expires sooner, renew it before applying.

Upload a clear, full-color scan of the passport bio page (the page with your photo and personal details). The entire page must be visible, including all four corners, with no glare or reflections. Accepted formats are typically JPG, PNG, or PDF, with a maximum file size of 2 MB. Ensure the text is legible.

Upload a recent (taken within the last 6 months) color photograph with a plain white or light background. The photo must be in JPG or JPEG format, with a minimum resolution of 600x600 pixels and a maximum file size of 2 MB. Your face should be centered, with a neutral expression, and both eyes open. Do not wear glasses or head coverings unless for religious reasons. The photo must not be digitally altered.

Enter the date you plan to arrive in Brazil in DD/MM/YYYY format. This should be within the validity of your e-Visa (2 years from approval). You can enter Brazil on or after this date. Ensure it is at least 3-4 weeks from your application date to allow processing time.

Select the airport or border point where you will first arrive in Brazil. Common options include São Paulo (GRU), Rio de Janeiro (GIG), and Brasília (BSB). Choose the one that matches your flight itinerary. If you are not sure, check your flight booking.

Enter the full address of where you will stay in Brazil, including street name, number, city, state, and postal code. If you are staying at a hotel, provide the hotel name and address. If you are staying with friends or family, provide their complete address. This does not need to be permanent, but it must be a valid address.

Select the primary purpose of your trip from the options provided, such as Tourism, Business, Transit, or Other. For tourism, you may be asked to provide details of your planned activities. For business, you may need to provide the name and address of the company you will visit. Choose the most accurate option.

Answer 'Yes' or 'No' truthfully. If you answer 'Yes', you will be required to provide details of the refusal, including the date and reason. Providing false information can lead to a ban on entering Brazil. If you have been refused before, it does not automatically disqualify you, but you must be honest.

Carefully review every field you have entered, including your name, passport number, and travel dates. Once submitted, you cannot modify any information. If you find an error, go back and correct it before proceeding. This is your last chance to ensure accuracy.

Check the box to confirm that all information provided is true and correct. This is a legal declaration. Providing false information can result in visa denial, deportation, or a ban from entering Brazil. Make sure you have read and understood the declaration before agreeing.

Pay the processing fee of approximately USD 80.90 (including VFS service fee) using a valid credit or debit card. The payment is processed online securely. Ensure you have sufficient funds and that your card is enabled for international transactions. After payment, you will receive a confirmation email with your application reference number.
